The 60-metre open-plan AMICHE is designed to redefine onboard social living through a seamless and unified spatial experience. At the heart of the concept is a single, expansive entertainment deck stretching the full length of the yacht. It replaces the traditional division of spaces across multiple decks, creating a more connected and immersive environment for up to 20 guests. This centralised layout enhances both flow and interaction, allowing guests to move effortlessly between lounging, dining, and leisure spaces. The design integrity is one inspired by natural forms and which emphasises relaxation and coastal living. There is a dedicated spa and beach deck at ocean level, while the Owners' cabin is situated on the upper deck. While this position typically increases exposure to sea movement, the inclusion of a gyro-stabilised floor system ensures a smooth and stable experience without compromising panoramic sea views. Overall, AMICHE combines advanced engineering with new architecture and a socially driven layout to offer a modern take on experience-driven design that prioritises cohesion and spatial clarity.

What drew you to yacht design?
It is one of the rare forms of design that combines interior experience design with high-level exterior sculptural design. To have these two disciplines in one product creates a very rare field. Being able to be a part of that process from start to finish, in both the studio and at the yard, is what drew me to the yachting design world.
Which designers/yachts inspire your craft?
My design entry is informed by natural forms and cave-like structures. This can be seen in the arching theme from the rear three-quarter and the chisel undercuts in the surface detailing. Inside is a modern interpretation of coastal French decorative design. Both of these inspirations aim to show cohesion with the region that the brief was set in, referencing the southern French rocky coastline.
How would you like to see yacht design evolve?
An interesting direction for yachting designers would be to test the limits of unconventional proportions, resulting in unique effects on how yachts can be experienced.
