AMICHE is a refit project that prioritises preservation while enhancing functionality and overall experience. By minimising structural modifications, the design reduces construction time, costs, and environmental impact, while maintaining a high level of spatial quality and efficiency. AMICHE has a social design and a layout that is comfortable for up to 20 guests. Indoor and outdoor areas are generously sized and encourage fluid movement and connection between spaces. The design concept is driven by a sense of fluidity and movement, with forms and spatial transitions that evoke dynamism even when the yacht is at rest. This language is reinforced through both the exterior and interior, creating a cohesive and contemporary identity. AMICHE introduces a flexible multipurpose room that can be converted into a guest cabin when required. There is also an integrated wellness area, with a Jacuzzi and lounge. All combined create a strong connection between comfort, design, and the surrounding marine environment.

What drew you to yacht design?
I have always been drawn to the level of precision and refinement that yacht design demands, where every element must be carefully considered and executed to the highest standards. This pursuit of perfection, both technically and aesthetically, is something that strongly resonates with me.
What truly fascinates me, though, is that yachts offer unique experiences that cannot be replicated anywhere else, creating a very personal and intimate connection with the sea. When I design, I constantly think about the Owners and how they will live those moments on board – how they move through the spaces, how they relax, and how they share the experience with others – using design as a tool to enhance and elevate those emotions.
Which designers/yachts inspire your craft?
My background is in architecture, and I draw inspiration from a wide range of designers who have shaped contemporary design thinking. Zaha Hadid and Herzog & de Meuron are two examples. Their approach to form, spatial fluidity, and innovation has had a strong influence on how I understand design as a whole.
Within the yacht industry, I have always admired studios like RWD and Nuvolari Lenard for their ability to balance elegance, proportion, and technical resolution. However, Team for Design has been especially meaningful in my journey, as I had the opportunity to complete my professional internship there. Working alongside Enrico Gobbi was a true privilege, and I consider him one of the most brilliant and influential designers in the industry today, both for his creative vision and his deep understanding of the lifestyle behind each project.
How would you like to see yacht design evolve?
I would like to see yacht design evolve towards more sustainable and responsible solutions, where innovation is not only aesthetic but also environmental. The integration of new technologies, advanced materials, and alternative energy systems should redefine how yachts interact with the sea, reducing their impact while maintaining high standards of comfort and performance. At the same time, I believe that the evolution of technology will give designers greater freedom to explore new forms, spatial concepts, and experiences, pushing the boundaries of what is currently possible in yacht design.
