2.1 Legal data protection responsibility
We as the operator of the LinkedIn Profile are the data controller as defined by data protection law with regard to the collection and further processing of personal used data on the LinkedIn website and in the app. However, LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, (“LinkedIn”) is the data controller with regard to the technical operation of the LinkedIn platform.
Our LinkedIn Profile may also contain links to other third-party websites. We do not monitor or control what information is collected when you access a link to a third-party website. The operators of third-party websites may handle personal data differently from the way we do. Hence, we take no responsibility for the content or data processing on other websites.
2.2 Processing of personal data on our Facebook Profile
The nature and extent of collection of personal data when you visit the LinkedIn Profile depend largely on your user behaviour.
When you are using our LinkedIn Profile purely for information purposes, i.e. when you are not logged in or transferring information in any other way, we do not collect any data on you. We as the operator of this LinkedIn Profile can only see your public LinkedIn Profile. What information is visible there depends on your profile settings.
We as the operator of this LinkedIn Profile can only see your public LinkedIn Profile. What information is visible there depends on your profile settings. Beyond that, we process your personal data (for example your name and the content of your messages, inquiries or other contributions you send to us) when you contact us through our LinkedIn Profile.
We process these data for the purpose of processing your contributions and respond to them if necessary.
These types of processing are based - depending on the occasion and content of the interaction - either on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) S. 1 f GDPR, in particular for the purpose of contacting you about your inquiries or contributions, or on Art. 6 (1) S. 1 b GDPR, if your inquiry is intended to establish a contract with us.
Please note that LinkedIn also collects and processes certain information on your visit to our LinkedIn Profile even if you do not have a LinkedIn user account or are not logged into LinkedIn. For information on how LinkedIn processes personal data, please see LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy at https://de.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy?trk=content_footer-privacy-policy.
2.3 Cookies
When you visit our LinkedIn Profile, LinkedIn also sets cookies on your device. Cookies are small files that are stored on a user’s device (e.g. computer or smart phone). When you access a LinkedIn page, the IP address assigned to your device is sent to LinkedIn. For information about what cookies LinkedIn uses and what information LinkedIn receives through these cookies, how that information is used, how long it is stored by LinkedIn and what third-party partners it is shared with is available at the following URL:https://de.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy.
2.4 Statistical evaluation
LinkedIn also provides us with anonymised statistical evaluations of the use of our LinkedIn Profile (called “Analysis data for company pages”). This is bundled (aggregated) information about, among other things, the number of subscribers and visitors, views of the LinkedIn Profile, as well as demographic information on our users (profession, company affiliation, country, region, language, age). However, we do not have access to individual visitor data. Further information on analysis data is available at the following URL: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a547077/linkedin-page-analytics-overview?lang=en
We process these data for the purpose of optimising the appearance and operation of LinkedIn Profile.
These types of processing are based on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) S. 1 f GDPR, in particular for being able to recognise user preferences (e.g. number of followers, number of views of individual site pages, user statistics by age, geography and language) and adapt and improve the offer to our LinkedIn Profile as specifically as possible for each target group.
With regard to these analysis data on visitors and followers of our LinkedIn Profile, LinkedIn and we are what is called joint controllers under data protection law. This means that LinkedIn and we process these data for the joint purpose of learning about the user behaviour of the users of our company page. In this context, LinkedIn makes the decisions about the processing of visitor or user data in connection with analysis data for company pages, and therefore also for our LinkedIn Profile. The contract on joint responsibility required under the GDPR in such a constellation is available at the following URL: https://legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum.

We may transfer your personal data for the purposes described here to external service providers, such as IT service providers or advertising agencies. We have chosen these service providers carefully and established contracts for commissioned data processing with them.
In addition, we transfer your personal data to other recipients in individual cases, if and as far as this is legally required or permitted, in order to assert legal claims or to investigate or prevent suspected or actual unlawful activities.
