Hear from former students

Lenja

Head of Basic Design, Lürssen Yachts, Germany

"I can truly say my time at Lürssen has been transformative. After joining the company as a dual student in naval architecture and construction mechanics, I have had many opportunities that have led me to my current position as Head of Basic Design. Throughout my journey, Lürssen has always provided me with unwavering support and trust. The work is cutting-edge, with a strong emphasis on innovating the maritime industry, while the culture remains flexible and accommodating. Over the past 15 years, Lürssen has consistently invested in my growth and nurtured my potential at every stage of my career."

Alexander

Mechanical Engineer, Lürssen Yachts, Germany

"Thanks to the wide range of training opportunities offered at Lürssen, I have been fortunate to greatly develop my technical and practical skills in mechanical engineering. These include many aspects of metalworking and proficiency in various programmes, such as CAD, internal organisation systems, and Microsoft applications. The manual activities in the apprenticeship programme provide a deeper understanding of construction planning for the integration of different systems, facilitating seamless collaboration between the design and production departments."

Lea

Data Scientist, Lürssen Design Centre Kvarner, Croatia

"After completing a one-year internship addressing industry challenges in AI and digital innovation projects at Lürssen, I transitioned directly into a full-time role as a Data Scientist. It can’t be overstated how impactful my time at Lürssen has been. I have significantly enhanced my communication skills, improved my ability to work effectively in teams, and gained invaluable insights that have expanded my knowledge of data science. Lürssen is an excellent employer, investing heavily in employees’ professional development through training, conferences, and courses. Beyond work, there are many opportunities for team-building activities and social events organised by the company, enriching the overall experience."
